Full Job Description

As a Lean Leader, you will be responsible for improving and sustaining the operating system of GEHC International. This system is the foundation for the operational teams to run daily operations, to ensure rigorous execution and to deliver impactful operating reviews. Your primary goal is to accelerate the development of a Lean mindset across International, by implementing and sustaining standard work and daily management, and by coaching on problem solving. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, and you will play an active role in shaping and delivering effective and efficient operating reviews. Essential responsibilities: Standard Work Development: identify where we have gaps in standard work; coach and help the teams to address these gaps. Make sure all aspects of standard work are addressed, i.e. not just process steps but also resource allocation, takt time and balancing. Daily Management System (DM): facilitate the deployment of commercial and operations daily management at Gemba, with strong focus on leading KPIs and to-the-point visual management. Coach stand-up participants to make DM a team sports, on delivering outcomes and on problem solving as opposed to reporting. Problem Solving: foster a culture of problem-solving and continuous improvement throughout the International region. Inspire Gemba practitioners and the leadership team to coach and guide the broader organization towards better problem solving. Provide direct support for International key A3s. Operating Reviews : increase the ROI of operating reviews by minimizing the amount of work that goes into preparation, by leveraging existing operational visuals, and by coaching participants to focus on what matters. Help setup the agenda and coordinate the teams. Relentlessly look for opportunities to simplify and remove work, while increasing output. Lean Practitioners: actively engage with, inspire and coach a broader bench of talented practitioners to further disseminate Lean across the organization.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Lean certification will be considered a plus but is not a pre-requisite.
  • Experience: minimum of 10 years of experience in a functional role (preferably in FP&A, commercial, services and/or operations) with a proven track record of successful lean practice in a commercial environment and/or operations., Outstanding Customer Focus: Demonstrated commitment to understanding and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Lean Mindset: Proven ability to apply a lean mindset effectively in various contexts is a pre-requisite.
  • Business Simplification: Proven ability to reduce complexity and to improve efficiency and effectiveness in processes and business cadences.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills to engage, influence, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Communication: Comfortable interacting with both field teams and executive leadership.
  • Strategic and Hands-On Approach: Strategic thinker with the ability to execute plans in a hands-on manner to achieve tangible results., Successful candidates will be employed under local employment conditions and must already satisfy local employment/work permit and residency regulations.
