Full Job Description

The Lean role will directly be related to developing and driving a lean / continuous improvement culture in a Project-based, transactional driven business. The Successful candidate will: Participate in & lead process improvements, conduct lean training, and facilitate kaizen events - driving continuous improvement discussions and activities. There will be ongoing activities to apply and train on lean principles throughout the life cycle of the project environment. This includes, for example, leading teams in the analysis of processes, simplification of processes, eliminating waste, reducing cost, as well as standardising and facilitating efficiency for lean optimization. Support a cross functional team (including tendering, engineering, project management, sourcing / procurement, logistics, quality, finance, PMO, quality and Lean) dedicated to executing the lean roadmap to meet efficiency and milestone targets. The supplier management responsibility will focus on working with suppliers to drive improved performance through reviews and root cause analysis. This includes working directly with suppliers to resolve issues and ensure sustained improvement.,

  • Implement and/or support counter measures and actions for Kaizen Events.
  • Perform Quality and Lean activities collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure cost out and efficiency project deliverables (milestones, process improvements, etc..) are met in a timely manner, contributing to established targets with no compromise on product quality / compliance, supplier continuity, and efficiency and risk mitigations.
  • Lean actions include optimising the execution of the changes resulting from kaizen events to support cost-out actions, ensuring operational alignment and ensuring continuity.
  • Generate new cost-out ideas and help consolidate next cost-out action pipeline.
  • Will directly interact in project management life cycle.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college / in lieu of a degree - candidates will have relevant 'Hands On' extensive experience.
  • Demonstrated years of quality / lean experience., Proven ability to work in cross-functional team.
  • Proven experience with project management.
  • Proven ability to analyze and organise data.
  • Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in product cost-out initiatives.
  • Demonstrated years of project management experience.
  • Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Experience working with suppliers and driving improvement opportunities.
  • Proven Facilitation Skills.
