Job Title: Lean Portfolio Manager

Role Purpose

The purpose of the Product Management Office is to drive visibility, clarity, simplicity and collaboration for our portfolio.

  • We manage the lean portfolio governance to ensure visibility of all work in the portfolio, budget transparency, delivery against the agreed scope, time, cost, and improved decision making

  • We define and manage E2E product management processes from co-creation to rationalisation

  • We forecast the IoT connections and data usage to enable successful capacity planning by technology

  • We drive consistency and better together agenda across Product, Technology and channels


  • The Lean Portfolio Manager (LPM) role will ensure that we deliver value to customers faster while using our resources in the most effective way. The role owner will work closely with Product Management, Technology, Delivery and Operations teams to ensure that our budget and capacity are aligned to business strategy and priorities.

    What you'll do

    Key accountabilities:
  • Govern the flow of work and create visibility of all work in the portfolio end-to-end, to create transparency and improve decision making in line with the SAFe framework. Ensure work is prioritised. Predict and identify risks/opportunities from interdependencies of product deliveries.

  • Facilitate the SAFe ceremonies: Portfolio Sync, Quarterly planning, Shaping, Retrospectives. Ensure that appropriate stakeholders are engaged in the relevant ceremonies.

  • Support the annual and quarterly investment process to ensure close alignment of strategy, objectives, priority, funding and capacity for the portfolio.

  • Support the communication of governance processes and execution of decisions

  • Support Epic Owners to guide Epics through the Portfolio Kanban, reviewing lean business cases, linking business benefits to investments for funding and allocation requests

  • Work with Portfolio Operations and Delivery to ensure that the


  • Portfolio is properly controlled:
  • cost & funding planning

  • resource allocation and planning

  • delivery assurance and risk

  • portfolio performance metrics


  • Who you are

    Core competencies:
  • Expert level in Lean Portfolio Management, as well as broader experience in the SAFe framework and other Agile methodologies.

  • Collaboration; experience in working within a matrix-structured organisation with high level of influencing skills

  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills to influence colleagues in other departments; strong stakeholder management skills (up to E-level)

  • A collaborative team player, passionate to implement change and able to work across multiple functions, locations and cultures with senior level executives; resilient, decisive, able to learn quickly
