Full Job Description
An opportunity exists within the busy Learner Support Services Team for a highly motivated Support Officer. This is a varied and demanding role where the post holder will be the first point of contact for parents, students, schools and Passenger Assistants on home to school transport and you will liaise with these stake holders to take details of issues that may arise with the day to day running of school transport. Home to School Transport employ over 170 Passenger Assistants who travel with children on our transport. You will support the service providing day to day clerical admin support across the Team. This will also extend to the Free School Meals Service, School Admissions and Admissions Appeals Teams.
- A motivated individual who must be able to remain calm and cope in a very busy and demanding role;
- Able to manage your time effectively within competing priorities and deadlines;
- A good organiser with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a customer focused approach to work;
- Able to deal with highly sensitive information and an ability to maintain confidentiality at all times;
- Able to work within a team environment;
- Able to demonstrate experience of working in a similar administrative environment;
- Have excellent keyboard skills for input and retrieval of data and invoice processing;
