Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Assistant to join Nethergate Academy and work as part of the team supporting pupils' educational and healthcare needs.

About the Role:

You will be required to help with the organising and running of intervention groups across the academy.

This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to gain teaching experience and develop a wide range of skills whilst working in a friendly and supportive environment.

Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs would be advantageous. You will be joining a passionate group of colleagues who strive to achieve the best outcomes for pupils in all aspects of their lives.

The academy works with children and young people who have learning difficulties and complex needs and their families.

Nethergate Academy is a special academy in the City of Nottingham for 173 pupils with moderate and complex learning difficulties. The age range is from 5-19 years with a wide range of ability. Many pupils have autism and some have SEMH needs.

This role is for 32.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday and is required in term time (39 weeks); therefore this is reflected in the pro rata salary.
