Learning Assistant

The ideal Learning Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups both within and outside the classroom environment. You will be a professional role model to the students, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate.

possess excellent communication skills
have experience of working with young people or children
be flexible, creative and enthusiastic about their position
Experience of working with students with autism is an advantage. You will be joining a passionate group of colleagues who strive to achieve the best outcomes for students in all aspects of their lives., All applicants must be able to provide evidence of their Right to Work in the UK prior to commencement of employment. As part of our need to comply with UK immigration rules, you will be required to provide Home Office stipulated documentation prior to interview.

Our purpose built building opened in January 2018 and provides 100 places for students (3-18) with a diagnosis of autism and/or Severe Learning Difficulties. The academy is very popular and currently has 117 students on roll from Reception to Year 13. Our students have a complex range of needs and cover a full breadth of academic ability. We teach our students in small classes of 8-10 students with high levels of adult support.
