Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Art and Design for a 3D Workshop Learning Assistant to support our students with technical and practical activities across diverse materials, techniques, and processes.,

  • Supporting students in practical work and the creative making process.
  • Preparing and maintaining workshop equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to Health & Safety procedures and COSHH guidelines.
  • Assisting in the setup and preparation of classrooms and workshop spaces.
  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for creative practice, a strong knowledge of both traditional and modern techniques, and a commitment to fostering students' employability skills.

    We are seeking a highly motivated individual with versatile expertise in 3D materials and processes, including woodwork, metalwork, and casting. Familiarity with digital fabrication skills, such as 3D printing and laser cutting, is preferable but not essential, as training will be provided., Disability Confident
