Full Job Description
The School of Engineering is looking for a full time Learning Assistant to support our students with theory and practical activities in Electrical Installation.
This exciting opportunity will allow the right individual to pass on their industry knowledge to students of all ages.
This is a hands on role in our workshops, supporting and monitoring students whilst working alongside the tutors. If you have a real flair for passing your knowledge on to others, a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to act as a role model, this could be just the job for you.
You will support with the setup and preparation of workshops, assessment areas and resources; working to ensure all equipment and stock is maintained and meets the needs of the students and industry requirements. You will be able to assist and assess students practical work and impart your industry experience to further develop our student's employability skills relevant to their career goals.
The successful candidate should have current industry knowledge in Electrical Installation and ideally have qualifications at level 3. You will also be supported to further develop your skills and knowledge through working towards a Level 3 teaching qualification and also an assessors qualification., Disability Confident

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week based at our well-equipped industry specific Hemel Hempstead Campus.
