Full Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the personal development of students as part of our Learning Coach Team. You will work within Avonbourne Academies under the general direction of the SENDCo who is responsible for the overall policy of the specialist educational programme for students with SEN needs. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Part-time applications may be considered for the right candidate - please indicate in your personal statement what hours you could commit to and we will see if it meets the requirements of the role.

The successful candidate will:
· Be caring, patient and supportive with a positive attitude
· Passionate and hardworking to champion vulnerable students
· Have a high level of literacy & numeracy
· Have excellent communication skills
· Be able to motivate, inspire and encourage students
· Be resilient, resourceful and have high expectations of students' achievement and behaviour
· Enjoy working as part of a hardworking team
· Ideally have previous experience of working in education
· Be committed to professionally develop via our in-house CPD offer and external providers
The successful candidate will ideally have a knowledge and understanding of:
· Barriers to students' learning
· Targeted small group and 1:1 programmes
· How children learn and how to engage with them
