With future-proofed capabilities, technology enabled systems, high engagement, and improved career paths high on the agenda, this is a great time to join the team. This brand-new Learning Designer role will implement and drive our proposition, ensuring we're firmly future focused and meeting the needs of the business. If you're passionate about designing impactful learning solutions and want to contribute to the growth of our UK-wide Agency Network, the Learning Designer role could be for you. In this role you'll collaborate with representatives from NFU Mutual's Agency Network and Training & Competency team to identify learning requirements and create innovative learning solutions tailored for our Agency Network. You'll conduct a full review of the existing agency learning materials ensuring they're up to date and relevant, and continue to regularly review and enhance these materials, ensuring all content remains market-leading, technically accurate, and compliant with business and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Learning Manager and being part of a wider Learning Specialist team, you'll collaborate across the HR Division and work closely with Regional Learning Consultants. This will enable you to design, develop, and evaluate high-quality blended learning programs whilst utilising cutting-edge innovative learning technologies that align with our evolving business strategy. As a Learning Designer, you'll engage with subject matter experts to understand learning content, using instructional design principles to create scripts and storyboards through to the development of the final product. Adhering to learning quality and delivery standards, you'll ensure all learning solutions meet business requirements and agency learning objectives within set timescales. Embracing continuous improvement, you'll ensure our learning solutions are up-to-date and market-leading, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge in learning methodologies and technologies. Additionally, you'll proactively maintain knowledge of the insurance market through Continuous Professional Development activities, gaining insights into NFU Mutual products across various sectors, including motor, personal, and commercial insurance.
You have proven experience and understanding of design-thinking approaches to learning, ensuring innovative and effective solutions. You have strong experience in the design, development, and evaluation of a variety of learning content, including online/e-learning modules, instructor-led materials, job aids, and multimedia products. You can produce high quality, modern data driven evaluation demonstrating business impact. You bring customer focused skills and you have demonstrable insurance knowledge and ideally hold a CII qualification or are willing to work towards this. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is a must, including senior-level individuals. To join our team, you must also have:
- Ability to produce high quality, modern data driven evaluation demonstrating business impact.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable you to create storyboards and scripts in partnership with subject matter experts.
- Knowledge of emerging technology trends for content creation, that ensure your solutions are up-to-date and engaging.
- Strong analytical skills to help you assess learning needs and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes.
- Excellent and effective collaboration skills.
- Successfully completed the Internal Trainer Academy Programme and hold a CIPD or equivalent training qualification or be willing to complete both.
