This remote-based role is a vital part of our wider support function, ensuring that the operational teams working within prisons across the South of England, have everything they need to succeed. While the on-site teams focus on maintaining a safe and secure environment, your work will underpin their efforts by providing the essential Learning & Development support that keeps the operation running smoothly.
As part of our corporate People team, you'll work closely with passionate colleagues, including HR administrators and L&D professionals, all dedicated to empowering the operational staff to achieve their best. Together, we ensure the smooth delivery of critical services that impact employees, prisoners, visitors, and the broader community.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our corporate team as a Learning and Development Administrator., Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting processes and producing high-quality correspondence.
- Advanced IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HR systems like Oracle.
- Knowledge of GDPR and the ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality.
- Strong customer service skills with sound judgment for decision-making or escalating issues appropriately.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Learning & Development (L&D), including managing a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Hands-on experience in HR administration, such as maintaining employee records and managing functional mailboxes.
- Proven experience in supporting internal communications, including newsletters, vacancy bulletins, and email cascades.
Requirements:
- Good standard of mathematics and excellent written and spoken English.
- Customer Service Qualification (desirable).
- CIPD qualifications (desirable).
- Ability to contribute to ad hoc projects and assurance work as required by the HR Senior Leadership Team.
