Full Job Description
+ To provide managerial and clinical leadership and to ensure that there are effective arrangements in place to co-ordinate the team to meet service demand
+ To support analysis of training needs, quality assurance and review of development programmes in addressing specific identified learning or clinical needs
+ To promote meaningful staff engagement in learning opportunities, including the use of emerging learning technologies
+ In collaboration with TEL Learning and Development Consultant manage the overall CPFT technologies in learning strategy, + Lead on implementation of national and organisational clinical competencies to ensure that both modern design and delivery models are used, and that impact on practice post-delivery can be evidenced.
+ Support review and update of existing training programmes to ensure that they continue to meet service delivery needs and offer proactive support where integration of technology may better meet identified training needs.
+ To effectively and efficiently manage resources within the team in liaison with the Learning and Development Manager.
+ To ensure close effective working relationships with Learning and Development Team Leader - Essential Skills, Compliance Manager and Training Administration Manager for logistics that support effective training design, delivery, reporting and evaluation.
+ To ensure the team maintain strong links and working relationships with key stakeholders within the organisation such as clinical, practice development and Directorate leads to ensure that development provision is consistent with operational needs.
+ Provide consultation, advice and implementation guidance to trainers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) regarding the training needs analysis, design, delivery and review of training programmes including development and maintenance of course online and digital content in an NHS/healthcare context.
+ Provide consultation and guidance to managers, clinical leads and other stakeholders in relation to the meeting the training needs of staff in the context of evolving service delivery.
+ Develop close links between Learning and Development, clinical services and Research and Development.
+ Working with Learning and Development Consultant - Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) support the development, maintenance and update of digital content.
+ Monitor and support evaluation and follow up of technology enhanced training and development activities.
+ Maintain an overview of the use of technology enhanced learning tools in development programmes.
+ Maintain appropriate records to enable monitoring and evaluation of professional development activity.
+ Maintain an overview of national and regional developments in TEL policy, practice and professional development through formal and informal activity.
+ Identify the specific requirements and resources needed for the delivery of TEL training programmes.
+ Undertake ad hoc TEL project work as required, including research, scoping and evaluation and reporting to support the project.
+ Prepare reports and presentations for strategic management groups and other stakeholders as required.
We are looking for an experienced clinician who is passionate about the development of others, as well as curious about use of technology in training and development, to join our Learning and Organisational Development team. This role does not require a background in digital education and technologies as you will be working with an established team who would benefit from your experiences and understanding of learning in the clinical workplace.
A good candidate will have a strong clinical background that includes experience assessing competence in clinical settings as well as development of clinical training programmes and learning materials. They will demonstrate the ability to engage, support, motivate and lead others to give high quality care.
