Full Job Description

Working collaboratively with the discharge teams to ensure a smooth transition to further support, into existing community services, or to an individual's home were possible.
Restore and maintain our patients' quality of life by providing the therapeutic approaches and coping strategies that are most appropriate.
Building skills to increase independence to promote people stepping down to care in the least restrictive setting, appropriate to their health needs.
Substance misuse and addictions treatment support.

Registered nurse with active NMC PIN
Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality

Priory Hospital Burgess Hill has a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our Team; in September 2023 we opened a third ward which is a 10 bedded male adult PICU.

The hospital is currently split across three units:
EA - male psychiatric intensive care ward
AJ - male psychiatric intensive care ward
MS - acute general adult male-only ward

The Services offered at Burgess Hill (Acute & PICU) are aimed at supporting stabilisation and recovery and affords the opportunity to offer a variety of Therapeutic Interventions aimed at developing coping strategies within one hospital environment.

The expertise provided enable us to support patients with a high level of risk and challenging behaviours including individuals with risk of violence and aggression, harm to self and trauma alongside people who may require a period of stabilisation transitioning from high dependency care or acute cate, depending on diagnosis., At Priory, you'll be joining the UK's largest provider of high-quality mental health care with around 350 services across the country.
