  • Assisting with meal preparation

  • Supporting individuals with household tasks and upkeep

  • Administering medication

  • Facilitating community engagement and participation

  • Accompanying individuals on shopping trips and outings

  • Coordinating and attending medical appointments

  • Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams

    SweetTree Home Care Services is looking for a dedicated Learning Disability Support Workers to our Award-Winning team. If you're an experienced, dedicated, Support Worker with a deep understanding of individuals needs and the importance person centred care, we want to hear from you. Your hands-on experience and your commitment to making a difference in people's lives are what set you apart. As a Learning Disability Support Worker, you'll receive specialised training and have the unique opportunity to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and clinicians. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time positions, we would ideally require a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week, with a minimum of 3-hour visits per client to ensure the highest level of care.


  • Our client is a friendly, and energetic young person who builds good relationships with others. He has a diagnosis of Severe Learning Disabilities and Autism, and his approach to initiating and socially interacting with others is different from that expected of a typically developing young person. When there is miscommunication this could lead to frustration or boredom on the client's part and result in behaviours of concern. Our client enjoys climbing, jumping, and is generally very active. He likes to engage in sensory play and feels most comfortable when he has a predictable routine.,
  • Minimum 3 months experience with learning disabilities and autism is a strong advantage

  • Support worker must be comfortable managing challenging behaviours

  • Provide one-on-one support in clients' homes

  • Cultivate a positive and supportive environment that promotes independence and well-being

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

  • Ready to Make a Difference?

    Salary: £13.20 - £15.35 per hour, with the exception of shifts happening between 7am-9am Mondays to Fridays which are £17.50 per hour. (with the ability to access a % of your earnings in just 4 days or less after completing shifts!)
