Hypothetical breakdown of pro-rata salary:
If appointed to this part time (5 hours per week) position at the bottom of the salary band (Grade 5 - point 19) your anticipated gross pay per month would be £223.83. Edge Hill University pay term staff monthly in arrears, in twelve equal instalments. This example monthly gross pay figure is based on:

Full Time Full Year equivalent salary of £28081.00 ÷ 52 weeks ÷ 36.25 hours (full time equivalent contract hours) = £14.8971 per hour.
£14.8971 per hour x 5 hours per week x 36.06 weeks (i.e., the 32 term time working weeks you work + 4.06 additional pay weeks in lieu of your annual leave and statutory leave) = £2685.94 annual actual gross salary before tax, national insurance, and any other deductions.
£2685.95 ÷ 12 months = £223.83 equal gross pay monthly instalments.
This scenario is based on a start date of 1st September and working a full year. This example salary amount is subject to change depending on candidate start-date within the year, and where in the salary band the candidate is hired.
