An exciting opportunity for a Learning Instructor role within the Training School has arisen within the Nuclear, Submarines. This role would suit an individual who can inspire learners using different forms of communication and flexible delivery styles alongside engaging media to explain complex information. The individual will also be dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for all learners this could require a flexibility model.

The purpose of this role is to provide inspiring, effective practical and theoretical Assembly Skills training to a range of learners including Existing workforce, new starters, and Apprentices by delivering and developing effective learning resources. This training must meet the needs of the individual, business, and external bodies where applicable i.e., CAA, Ofsted and EAL (Emta Awards Limited).

The key deliverables of the role require the instructors to manage, coach and mentor learners throughout their off the job element of their training programme to ensure timely completion., Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It's a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we're all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

What you will be doing:

With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:

  • You will be using forward-thinking technology to design, develop, deliver and maintain a high standard of learning solutions to learners, ensuring employees receive an experience effective to meet the future skills requirements of the business. The delivery of training will include both classroom and workshop delivery.

  • You will be maintaining and providing management information as required e.g. Framework Records, Business Records and Performance Records, ensuring that all learners achieve timely completion. This will include individual as well as group coaching and the writing of formal reports.

  • You will be modelling the company's values and behaviours and Culture to be regarded as an influential role model who is able to coach and support the learners in achieving measurable change.

  • You will be demonstrating a sound understanding of current working practices to liaise proactively with internal and external stakeholders to validate training programmes, ensuring that current and future business needs are being met.

  • You will be ensuring that learning activities and projects comply with all standard L&D policies, programmes and tools.

  • You will be managing the appropriate training needs of individuals to meet national standards/company competency standards and the satisfaction of customers.

  • You will be demonstrating a sound knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodologies. Actively embedding these working practices across all aspects of training.

  • You will be managing projects to ensure all milestones and deliverables are met in a timely manner. You will be ensuring that safe working practices and procedures are always maintained.

  • Successfully completed a nationally recognised engineering apprenticeship.

  • Experience of Training, mentoring, coaching, and motivating

  • Desirable:
  • Achieved NVQ assessor awar

  • Step 5 Assessor

  • EPA Mentor

  • Risk Assessor trained Competent in IT Skills
