Full Job Description

Kingsholm C of E Primary School and Nursery is committed to the safeguarding of all its learners, staff and visitors.

Safeguarding is a priority with arrangements in place to ensure learners feel safe on school premises and during off site activities.

The learner experience and individual achievement are paramount and safeguarding initiatives are developed to impact positively upon this.

The school ensures safeguarding legislation and guidance are adhered to and taken into account when developing and revising policies, procedures and associated arrangements.

The school provides a safe physical environment for its learners and staff, ensuring that premises are of a good standard.

Health and Safety arrangements are in place to ensure adherence to current legislation and guidance.

Applicants will be subject to recruitment and selection procedures designed to emphasise the school's commitment to the safeguarding of its learners and staff.

The procedures include questioning at interview stage, verification of appropriate qualification, acquiring references, and necessary safety checks.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The Governors of this Church of England Primary School are looking to employ a confident and enthusiastic Learning Partner to work across the school. This post will be a permanent contract (following successful six-month probationary period).

Applicants must either have appropriate Teaching Assistant qualifications/experience or be willing to undertake relevant training. Basic skills in English and Maths, GCSE or equivalent are essential.

This is a super opportunity for candidates looking to pursue a career as a learning partner or those who are looking for a stepping stone into teaching. Many of our learning partners, past and present, are also qualified teachers who have benefitted from further experience in a school before beginning their careers.
