Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our fantastic team of dedicated, hard-working colleagues, who contribute to a wonderful culture of work, supporting students with additional needs.

• The Learning Support Assistant will be part of a dedicated team working to support students with additional needs, specifically those with speech, language, communication, social, and emotional difficulties.


• The role involves supporting both individual and group work, assisting with the use of resources including IT, and helping students access the national curriculum.


• Responsibilities also include monitoring and recording student progress, supervising students on school trips, and providing care and welfare support when needed., Support students in accordance with their Education, Health, and Care Plans.


• Deliver pre-planned work under a teacher's direction.


• Assist in assessing and recording student progress.


• Supervise students during arrival, departure, and break times.


• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and parents/carers.


• Attend planning meetings and training sessions.


• Participate in the preparation of resources and identify what is needed.
