Part-time 0.6 FTE (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a student with dyslexia. This is a part-time role, ideal for someone with a passion for helping students overcome learning challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored academic support to a student with dyslexia.

  • Assist the student with reading, writing, and comprehension tasks, ensuring clarity and understanding.

  • Work closely with teachers to implement individualised learning strategies.

  • Help the student develop organisational and study skills, such as note-taking and time management.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment to boost the student's confidence and motivation.


  • Essential Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role or working with students with learning difficulties.

  • Understanding of dyslexia and strategies to support dyslexic learners.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents.


  • Desirable:
  • Relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or learning support.

  • Experience with assistive technologies for dyslexia, such as text-to-speech software.


  • Hours:
  • 15 - 18 hours per week.

  • Flexible working hours, depending on the student's schedule.
