Full Job Description

Dorchester Primary School is a large primary school with its own Nursery provision, located in Worcester Park, Surrey. We have an inclusive ethos, and our diverse community of pupils and staff come from a range of backgrounds. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils, supporting them both in the classroom and during break and lunch times..,

  • Provide in-class support to pupils, including those with Education, Health and Care plans
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of targets for children with additional needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources
  • Supporting children during play and lunch time

    Experience working with children in an educational setting, or willingness to undertake training
  • A good understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm for working in a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Desirable Qualities:
  • Qualifications in child development, education, or a related field
  • Experience in supporting pupils with specific learning difficulties or behavioural needs
