Learning Support Assistant

Dorchester Primary School is a large primary school with its own Nursery provision, located in Worcester Park, Surrey. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils, supporting them both in the classroom and during break and lunch times..,

• Provide in-class support to pupils, including those with Education, Health and Care plans
• Oversee the implementation and monitoring of targets for children with additional needs
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils
• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources
• Supporting children during play and lunch time
  
  Experience working with children in an educational setting, or willingness to undertake training
• A good understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Enthusiasm for working in a diverse and inclusive environment
Desirable Qualities:
• Qualifications in child development, education, or a related field
• Experience in supporting pupils with specific learning difficulties or behavioural needs
