Job Role: Learning Support Assistant Pay Scale: Hay Grade 5 (points 6 to 13 £28, 980 - £32,208 FTE), 36 hours per week for 39 weeks a year We are seeking to appoint a number of enthusiastic, well qualified and skilled Learning Support Assistants to join our welcoming, successful and growing school. These roles are suitable for those interested in supporting young people with a range of needs and also to those considering a career in teaching. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic and social development of students with special educational needs. The positions begins as soon as possible. Our School and Trust:
- Opening in 2016 to Year 7 and having welcomed our first Year 13s in September 2022, The Charter School East Dulwich is an oversubscribed, fully inclusive, diverse, mixed 11-18 comprehensive.
- Access for all, to high quality Teaching and Learning is a priority, with our Year 11 cohort excelling in their GCSEs last year including a Progress 8 score of +0.46
- The new school leadership from September 2021 builds on strong foundations to ensure standards of excellence, and a culture where all students and staff are given breadth of opportunity, and are valued.
- As part of The Charter School Educational Trust we benefit from The Charles Dickens Research School, The London South Teaching Hub and working with a team of schools committed to excellence in education in South-East London. We are looking for a colleague who:
- Is a skilled, versatile and hardworking colleague with a passion for delivering an excellent SEND provision to students across Years 7 to 11.
- Consistently models excellent practice and has students progress and personal development at the core of their professional motivation
