The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our fantastic team. This role will be responsible for two students that require SEN support. This is a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year. This role will be needed for up to 31 hours a week during term time only. There is some flexibility around start and finish times. About the role As a Learning Support Assistant at Downsend School, you will play a crucial role in promoting the education and welfare of pupils, working under the guidance of the SENCO. This will involve supervising and supporting students, ensuring their safety and access to learning, particularly for those with Special Educational Needs. The role requires building positive relationships with pupils and staff, maintaining discipline, and contributing to a supportive school environment.
