Full Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic, talented Learning Supprot Assistant to join the Learning Support Team within Hatcham College, our founding school. About the role Summary and overall purpose of the job: To work as part of the Learning Support Team and deliver high quality support to SEN students in order for them to make good progress in school. Working under the direction of the SENDCo, the LSA has the following responsibilities:
- To provide effective support for SEN students
- To deliver high quality support for SEN students in-class, under the direction of the class teacher, in order for students to make good progress in their learning.
- To support the school policies The role is term time only, 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Working hours will be negotiable for the right candidate but will need to suit the needs of the School. Support Our staff are important to us. We know that without great staff, our children will not be as successful. Therefore, professional learning is key to our success. We are fortunate to have a wide range of internal and external course facilitators, with a wide range of courses and CPD opportunities for all staff. We are particularly focusing on the development of our support staff; you will be encouraged and supported to:
- Engage in relevant externally accredited programmes and apprenticeships
- Attend appropriate training and development opportunities and keep up to date with current educational developments and legislation affecting Initial Teacher Training and development of educational practitioners and leaders
