Full Job Description
Strode College is looking for a colleague on a temporary basis who can support our students as they develop employability skills, achieve their learning ambitions, and gain the personal and social skills they need to prepare for the next stage in their lives.
You'll be working with students with learning difficulties or disabilities from Entry Level to Advanced Level to provide in-class support with a focus on learning with individual and/or groups of students, general support across the campus and in the workplace as required. This may include personal care. Experience of working with sensory impairment, physical disability, mental health, challenging behaviour, ASD or SpLD is desirable.
You must be IT literate and have a good knowledge of learning difficulties and disabilities whilst having excellent inter-personal and communication skills. This role is mainly site-based although you may also support students off site.

Contractual Details
Rate of Pay or Salary: £23,086 per annum pro rata.
Working Time: 24 hours per week, term time only
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 4th April 2025
Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme
