Kisimul is committed to valuing diversity and promoting equality for all, apply today and take your first step to becoming part of the Kisimul Family!, As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) you will be an integral part of the family at Calman College, no two days are the same but here is a brief overview of what your day-to-day duties may look like:

  • One of the most important aspects of your role is to build strong and meaningful relationships with our students, adapting to each students way of learning.
  • Supporting the Class Tutor and working together to review the progress of each student
  • Assist in implementing programmes devised by a multi-disciplinary team, such as Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and Educational Psychologists from our integrated clinical services.
  • Support access to curriculum and vocational work with the students to ensure positive outcomes in line with their personal targets
  • Contribute to the development of the students through the provision of a healthy lifestyle and a variety of appropriate stimulating activities.
  • Support students to develop their communication skills utilising methods appropriate to their abilities.
  • Enable work experience and volunteering opportunities onsite and the local community.
  • What does my working week look like?
