We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, experienced and highly skilled LSA to join our 'good school with outstanding features'. The role will require a high level of experience of working with young children with complex special educational needs, especially ASD. All staff have a duty to safeguard our children and therefore we expect all staff to adhere to our Safeguarding Policy (available on the school website) and participate in annual safeguarding training. As part of the appointment procedure all staff have to undergo a DBS disclosure which will report cautions as well as convictions.

    This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children's Barring List Check. If you are barred from working with children, you are breaking the law if you apply for this post. Shortlisted candidates applying for a regulated activity role will be asked to complete a self-declaration and disclosure form. Any disclosures declared on this form will be discussed at interview.
  • Online Search An online search will be undertaken on all shortlisted candidates. This search does not form part of the shortlisting process and you will have the opportunity to discuss any issues of concern that may arise from this search at the interview. Pre-employment checks will be carried out in line with KCSIE Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time plus training days Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract initially until 11/07/2025 due to SEND funding. Grade: Band B SCP 3 to 4, £22,737 to £23,114 pro rata. Actual salary £17,436-£17,725 (£11.78 - £11.98 per hour) plus a living wage supplement to £12.00 per hour payable from 1st April 2024
