Full Job Description

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant and Carer to join the Skills for Life team, providing a wide range of programmes for students with learning difficulties and or disabilities.

As a key part of this specialist team, the successful candidate will be helping to support the delivery of outstanding personalised learning opportunities. We want people who can assist learners to experience all aspects of College life.

You will need to be flexible, working well as part of a team to support the provision for learners within Skills for Life, as well as those attending through our links with local schools.

The successful candidate will have an understanding and experience of working with students who have diverse special learning needs. You will be a qualified and experienced First Aider with the relevant Care Training.

Working with a range of students, a high standard of communication and interpersonal skills is essential. These roles require proactive professionals who can work with the teaching team to remove potential barriers and support the learner assessment process.

You will be based at Barnfield College, Luton, working 30 hours per week Monday - Friday. This is a term time only fixed term position starting from January 2025 until end of June 2025.
