Full Job Description
- To escort pupils in the minibuses to and from school, with due regard for their safety and secure travel at all times in accordance with the relevant policies, procedures and good practice whilst maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation
- To promote inclusion
- To provide support for the pupils in the classroom and ensuring that the pupil is fully included in learning
- To support the pupil across the curriculum, under the direction of the class-teacher and SENCO
- To prepare resources for teaching as directed by the class teacher
- To support the pupils in the playground, being mindful of their health and safety in relation to their Special Educational Needs and encouraging safe interactive play.
- Provide positive reinforcements, praise and rewards.
- To ready pupils for reintegration back in mainstream school.

To apply for this post, you must have: - GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent in Mathematics and English Language
- Experience within a primary school
- Experience of working with the general public within a service provision environment
- Experience of working with vulnerable groups
- The ability to apply up to date legislation and practice in supporting inclusion for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs
- The ability to work collaboratively with senior management, other staff, other agencies, and gain their confidence
- You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- In addition, we also expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.
