Learning Support Assistant, Grafham Grange School

Salary: Scale R3 12 - 18: £22,315.15 - £23,880.47 per annum (FTE £26,060 - £27,888.00)

Location: Grafham Grange School, Bramley. Guildford

Working Pattern: 36 hours per week, Term Time only (8.30am - 4.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4.00pm Friday with 30 minute unpaid break).

Grafham Grange School is a special school for 70 students aged 10 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health as their primary identified need. It is situated in 42 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside in Bramley offering significant opportunities for outdoor learning.

The school offers a curriculum that covers academic and practical subjects allowing all students to find their talents and strengths whilst focusing on the skills they need to build better futures. The bespoke approach to learning means students grow in self-confidence and are prepared to take their next steps in their lives after school.

We are looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants to support students both within and outside the classroom either within a teaching group or on a 1:1 basis. It is desirable, but not essential, that you have experience of working with students with SEMH and associated complex learning difficulties, but we also welcome applications from inexperienced candidates and will provide thorough training for all new colleagues.

The school is extremely well supported in its continual drive for excellence through its Governing Body and OHCAT. The school is committed to CPD across its staff teams.

Applicants must have their own transport due to the rural location of the school.
