Learning Support Assistant - Juniper Hill School

The Learning Support Assistant role involves providing high quality support to our children with SEND under the direction of the class teacher. The role will involve working in the classroom, delivering interventions and supporting children 1:1. We value our LSA's, they are an important part of our team. All of our LSA's also support our Midday Supervisors during the lunch hour.

Ideally you will have a very good understanding of SEND, at Juniper we have a PD (Physical Disabilities) ARP (Additional Resource Provision) and we are opening an additional SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) SEN Unit - The Nest, supporting children who have had Adverse Childhood Experiences and Developmental Trauma. We are passionate about supporting our disadvantaged and SEND pupils. This position will be supporting the children in our Mainstream school and not the SEMH Unit. However, all candidates will be expected to undertake additional whole school training to further develop their understanding of supporting Developmental Trauma.

You will have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.

You will be keen to learn and open minded to try new ideas.
