Full Job Description

Normal working hours for the role of LSA Team Leader are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm.

We are looking for team leaders that are passionate about improving staff performance through coaching and mentoring.

  • You will be able to build effective working relationships with your teams and colleagues across the College. LSA Team Leaders line manage Learning Support Assistants and work with them to improve their confidence, skills and practice delivering high standards of learning support.
  • As an LSA Team Leader you will be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills. A background in learning support is not essential. You will be provided with high quality training and personal development opportunities.
  • Experience of line management and a proven track record of developing staff to achieve objectives and improve standards are essential.
  • A typical day in your role will involve deployment of staff to ensure effective support for learners, undertaking quality assurance activities, providing feedback and coaching and mentoring to improve learning support., You should hold or be willing to work towards the following qualifications in a required timescale, Level 3 qualification in learning and support, Level 2 maths and English functional skills or GCSE grade C/4 and or a Level 3 Coach Mentor Qualification., Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
