Full Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and highly effective Learning Support Officer to start as soon as possible who will work within our team of staff providing for vulnerable young people. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, providing students with agreed support to help create and maintain a purposeful and supportive learning environment, particularly helping students overcome barriers to learning, including social, emotional and mental health needs. The post holder will be required to work during school hours, Monday to Friday during the school term. As part of your contractual arrangements, you will be paid for an additional 5 days per year to attend team meetings and training and development outside of your normal working hours.

We are looking for an individualwho is committed to ensuring every individual student receives the care, support and guidance they need to thrive and be the best they can be. The successful applicant will have a GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths, a good working knowledge and understanding of barriers to learning and previous experience of working with vulnerable children and/or young people in an educational environment.

The actual salary based on a full-time position will be £19,602 per annum, to be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. Why choose us?
