Full Job Description

  • To work under the supervision and guidance of the tutor with students with mild/moderate and complex learning difficulties and disabilities within the Horizons or Mainstream area.
  • To provide one-to-one support and group support, both direct and indirect, for students with learning difficulties and disabilities following foundation courses, primarily in the learning environment.
  • To work with the Student Support Advisors and Youth Worker to provide support for students with SEMH needs and to encourage such students to attend the College
  • To use learning support systems to ensure bespoke support is provided for individual supported learners

    We have some exciting opportunities here at the College. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Practitioners (LSP's), to join our team., Our ideal Learning Support Practitioners should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
  • A level 2 or above qualification or equivalent in relevant subject area.
  • Experience of providing effective coaching for students on an individual basis or in a group setting to support success and progression.
  • Demonstrate an ability to support, monitor and track the learner progress including attendance, behavior, and completion of vocational activity.
  • Proficient IT skills
  • Level 2 English & Maths or equivalent is desirable

    You will join us on a permanent, term-time only basis, up to 36 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term-time only). In return, we will offer a competitive salary of £24,853- £26,882 per hour inc London Weighting. Salary will be pro rata'd to hpw, 38 weeks per year.
