The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Specialist to join our fantastic team. This role will be working 3 days a week during term time only. About the role As a Learning Support Specialist, you will assist in leading and managing special educational needs and learning support. This will involve supporting high quality standards of learning, teaching and achievement, effective use of resources and carrying put any additional work related to the requirement of the Learning Support Department. You will work with pupils who are on the Special Educational Needs Register or Monitor Table, being supportive of each pupil's needs and ensuring that work is provided in an accessible format for the pupil. Who we are looking for You will have a relevant Level 5 qualification as well as other qualifications and outstanding knowledge relating to the education of pupils with special educational needs. You will have prior experience of working with teaching staff and of planning for and teaching small groups and individual pupils with special educational need. You should be a keen and self-motivated practitioner, with good knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice (2014) and the impact it has within an independent school. Benefits at Cognita
