We are a team of learningtechnologists and academic developers supporting inclusive and engaging innovationin the curriculum, and providing effective development, recognition and reward for allstaff involved in teaching and supporting students' learning. We do this through a widerange of enhancement activities, including accredited courses, one to one support,events, online resources, the sharing of institution wide innovative practice, andbespoke workshops. We play a key role in enabling Goldsmiths' strategic ambitions foreducation and the student experience. The Centre's Director is Dr Fiona Handley, and, The purpose of the role is to provide practical and technical support to academic andprofessional services staff in their innovative and pedagogically-informed use of digitaltechnologies, including the College's virtual learning environment Moodle and itsvarious integrations, as well as technologies used in campus based teaching.The post holder will be expected to be able to carry out the following duties inline with the grade of the post, 1. Provide technical support for staff in a variety of ways including responding to email and Teams queries.2. Provide training to staff through the development of help guides and the delivery of group and online workshops.3. Support in the evaluation, testing and deployment of relevant software including Turnitin, Moodle, Panopto and their plugins.4. Promote, in partnership with the team of academic developers and other Goldsmiths staff, successful teaching and learning practice with learning technologies.2. Goldsmiths, University of London, New Cross, London, SE14 6NW5. Capture and summarise issues raised by staff to feed into the Centre's departmental liaison processes and project planning.6. Contribute to requirements gathering; gain an insight into the needs of staff and students at Goldsmiths through review, consultation and evaluation of both established practices and innovative interventions.7. Keep abreast of and disseminate successful digital education practice.8. Provide mentoring, training and advice to other TaLIC staff on responding to basic everyday TEL enquiries.9. Design or collaborate on relevant research projects; where appropriate apply for external funding, and participate in formal and informal dissemination exercises.10. Undertake all the duties as a core member of TaLIC and contribute to the collaborative ethos of initiatives.11. You will be required to undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required12. Ensure that you are aware of and aligned with Goldsmiths' Regulations, Strategy, and Objectives to work together to proactively advance Equality and Diversity13. At all times to help maintain a safe working environment by participating in training as necessary and following the Goldsmiths' Health and Safety Codes of Practice
