Full Job Description

We are currently seeking to employ a committed and motivated Learning & Wellbeing Adviser, to work closely with the Student Services team, academic staff, and the wider College community to support students' wellbeing and personal development. You will play a crucial role in the delivery of the College's wellbeing framework, providing personalised guidance, and supporting the emotional, social, and academic success of students. This includes facilitating 1:1 sessions and group workshops, with a focus on removing barriers to learning, fostering resilience, and promoting mental health and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will offer tailored wellbeing and pastoral support for students, facilitating their personal development, behaviour, and academic progress. Help them navigate emotional and social challenges.

  • Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in a relevant field
  • Skills: Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills; strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Experience: Experience of working with young people or vulnerable adults, especially in a pastoral or advisory capacity.
  • IT Skills: Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and online video platforms such as Microsoft Teams
  • Commitment: A genuine interest in student wellbeing, and the ability to work flexibly and on your own initiative.
  • Driving Licence: A current driving licence and access to a car.
  • Safeguarding: An understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.
