Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Leasehold Team as our Operations Manager here at Home Group! As our Leasehold Operations Manager, you'll be our subject matter expert, champion and leader in all things leasehold! You'll ensure our customers receive a high quality leasehold management service, with well maintained properties managed to the highest standard.

You'll lead a small team of dispersed Leasehold Property Managers in North East and North West England directly managing a portfolio of leasehold schemes. You'll use your qualifications and experience to be a real advocate for the tenure with the organisation. You will have a key role in working closely with other local housing management teams, using your knowledge and experience to strengthen their understanding of home ownership and help drive improvements in our home ownership offer across the North of England. You'll work with internal and external partners to ensure our leasehold service and reputation continues to grow in strength

Typical day as a Leasehold Operations Manager

  • You'll provide a consistently high quality professional leasehold block management service, ensuring properties are safe, secure and communities are thriving.

  • You'll manage service charge budgets and forecasting, and ensure your teams monitor expenditure to minimise variances and achieve value for money and cost savings for leaseholders.

  • You'll ensure your portfolio is achieving the right outcomes, from addressing legal challenges, to responding to anti-social behaviour and safeguarding situations, to learning from complaints and proactively engaging with our customers.

  • You'll lead your team, coaching colleagues and supporting their continuous professional development, as well as continuing to grow your own knowledge and practice of leasehold law and best practice. You'll also be supporting other local housing management teams.

  • This is a hybrid role and you'll spend time between working at home, on occasion days in the office, and where required working out in your patch, supporting your teams and customers.

  • You're able to use technology for accessing customer and property data as well as managing your diary and emails.

  • You'll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.

    Experience in Leasehold block management or similar.

  • Confident in dealing with complex issues and proficient in managing any First Tier Tribunal challenges or other housing related court procedures.

  • An analytical approach and good understanding of finance, KPIs and managing resources effectively.

  • Qualifications or training in property management, conveyancing, real estate or facilities management for example, ATPI, MTPI or AssocRICS.

  • Experience in performance management, coaching and leadership skills to empower and lead a team.

    Salary circa £45k - £55k pa dependent on skills and experience, and great benefits including Health Cash Plan,
