Full Job Description

We are looking for a Lecturer of Art and Design join The Bedford College Group. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of the students through:

  • Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses as required.
  • Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
  • Managing students' learning and provide a high-quality learning experience.
  • Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
  • Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

    Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent professional qualifications in Art & Design/ Animation
  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C
  • Certificate in Education or equivalent or willingness to work towards.
  • Recent experience of planning, delivering teaching and assessing of Animation on level 3 courses.
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent technical skills in digital image editing and manipulation software -
  • Experience in the understanding of contemporary Animation
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent technical skills in using studio equipment and set-ups in
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
  • Ability to consistently support a high quality learning experience for all students
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face
