Full Job Description

The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced lecturer to join the FE and HE Construction team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success., The successful applicant will be able to teach across a range of subjects for Construction on the FE and HE in Construction and the Built Environment and to prepare for the introduction of the new programmes in T-Level 3. This is a relatively new Technical Qualifications approved by the by the Ministry of Education, a two-year programme offering an alternative to A levels and other 16-19 courses.

You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment for your students to succeed. It is essential for candidates to possess expertise in a variety of subjects and have an excellent understanding of the industry, teaching and assessment. It would be advantageous to have experience teaching on National Level in Construction. It is preferable that applicants have a related degree/Level 4 Diploma in construction and a teaching qualification (or welling to study towards one), although we will consider candidates who can demonstrate significant Industry experience and ability to teach content and assess effectively. We also require applicants to have:

  • Relevant industry experience in Construction.
  • Be able to undertake subjects such as Science and Materials, Mathematics, CAD, BIM Surveying and general construction units.
