Full Job Description
- Plan and develops lessons, including the development of schemes of work
- Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and development feedback for our students
- Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students
- Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply
- Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsbilities for designated students in order to support them int heir own development and future progression
- Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students
- Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector Our ideal Lecturer-Health & Social Care should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Hold a Level 5 teaching qualification and have experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors OR
- Have a level 3 qualification in the subject relevant to the course you will be delivering, and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with our support, as part of our Passport to Teaching programme

Barking and Dagenham College have a great opportunity for Lecturer-Health & Social Care to join our team for this permanent, full-time role. The salary scale for this role is £24,872 - £43,440 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, depending on qualifications and experience.
