Full Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join our Animal Management team at Hadlow College as a Lecturer, supporting the delivery of our curriculum, specialism in zoology/exotics is preferred but all applications will be considered.

This role involves providing high quality teaching and learning experiences for students in both practical and theory delivery across all Animal Management subject areas. You'll be required to prepare, teach, and assess at a variety of qualification levels, including Higher Education, Further Education and school programmes, providing support and guidance to your learners as they progress through their studies. Due to the nature of this role, occasional evening and weekend working will be required.

You'll have specialist knowledge of the curriculum area, which may be enhanced by any relevant industry / professional experience, as well as a formal qualification that underpins this knowledge. Teaching experience, particularly within Further Education, would be advantageous but isn't essential. Likewise, although a full teaching qualification (at Level 5 or above) isn't required at this stage, you would need to secure this within 3 years of appointment.

We need you to be a team player and an excellent communicator, able to maintain a proactive approach and an eye for detail whilst working to challenging deadlines.

£33,225 - £42,100 per annum

Where you'll work: This role is based at the College's Hadlow campus

Your hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum

Your pay: £33,225 - £42,100 per annum, depending on teaching and other qualifications and experience.
