Full Job Description

Duties will include teaching face-to-face and online, setting assessment, marking, and giving feedback, supervision of final year and post-graduate projects, and acting as a personal tutor to provide pastoral support to students. As part of the role, the successful candidate will be expected to support students for competitions, work based learning and other opportunities for enterprise.
Furthermore, the appointee will also be expected to contribute to School strategic subject based, professional or pedagogic research and development, and other scholarly activities in order to support your teaching. Staff are also encouraged to develop their external research profile and the appointee to this post will be expected to contribute to one or more of the School's multidisciplinary Research Groups.

The School of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking to recruit two committed, adaptable and diligent individuals to join our experienced team of academic staff as a 1.0 FTE Lecturer. The successful candidates must be sufficiently proficient in major programming languages and have a good understanding of software development principles and be able to adapt to teaching from level 3 to level 7.
Most of the teaching duties for the post will be in the area of Cyber Security at undergraduate and postgraduate level, though this may vary.
We are seeking candidates with practical experience in a range of Cyber Security and Forensics technical skills such as Network Security, Penetration Testing, Defensive Programming, and Forensics experience in Data Extraction and Analysis being highly desirable.
We particularly welcome applications from candidates with a PhD in Cyber Security related areas or with the equivalent experience gained in industry.
