Full Job Description

To become an Electrical Installation Lecturer in our Engineering department, we need someone who is adaptable, knowledgeable, and motivated. The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities. We have a variety of students from the surrounding area, we are a welcoming and inclusive community that champions diversity and equality across our college. Although this position is centred on our Bromsgrove and Worcester campuses, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Plan and prepare, in accordance with the requirements of the curriculum.
  • Deliver effective programmes of learning, through efficient classroom management.
  • Work in accordance with the requirements of the College and examining bodies, implementing quality assurance requirements.
  • Undertake monitoring and assessment of students' and clients' progress.
  • Marking students' work in timely manner and providing feedback to learners.
  • Complete and maintain accurate and effective systems of administration.
  • Undertake continuous professional development in accordance with professional development policy.
  • Provide support for students, to ensure the best possible satisfaction, attendance and achievement levels.
  • Maintain safe working practices at all times and ensure that statutory requirements are met.
  • Undertake the duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Carry out your duties and responsibilities at all times in compliance with College policies, including the College Equal Opportunities, No Smoking and Quality Management Policies. To undertake such other duties, commensurate with the post, which the College management may reasonably and occasionally require - this may include evening and Saturday working and covering for absent colleagues as and when appropriate. Levelling-Up: As part of the government's initiative, eligible FE teachers and lecturers can now apply for Levelling Up payments between Autumn 2024 and Spring 2025 for the academic year 2024/2025. These payments recognise your hard work and dedication to shaping the future of our students by teaching specific courses in certain subject areas.

    Up to £38,244 per annum depending on experience Permanent Heart of Worcestershire College Although this role is advertised as 37 hours a week, we are also open to applicants seeking part-time hours. Please state your preferred hours in your supporting statement.
