Full Job Description

As an Lecturer in English, you will play a key role in planning and delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment on English courses. You will ensure positive student outcomes, contribute to curriculum development, and actively enhance the overall experience of our students., Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Ensure positive student outcomes and meet academic performance targets.
- Actively contribute to developing the English curricula based on national best practice.
- Administer courses, contribute to marketing initiatives, and maintain compliance with College policies.
- Participate in quality assurance procedures, including assessment and internal verification.
- Support unemployed adult learners and remove barriers to training.

PGDE or other level 4+ teaching qualification.
- Relevant English/Literacy qualifications, ideally at level 4.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Recent experience working with ICT in a workplace, ability to teach basic IT skills.
- Effective and sensitive team player with tutorial skills.
- Enthusiasm, drive, and the ability to work with limited direction.

Experience:

- Experience delivering English L2 and GCSE.
- High levels of organisation and commitment to learning and development.
- Ability and initiative to work independently but also thrive in a team environment.
