This role is full-time, working 37 hours per week.

Day to day duties

Tutorship of students, coordinating their individualised programme of study ensuring high attendance and retention as well as positive progression and outcomes.

Plan and review individual study programmes ensuring all aspects of provision and support specified within a student's Education Health and Care Plan is in place and the progress is effectively tracked and monitored.

Proactively track and record student progress to ensure accurate data is accessible and provide monthly reports to the Curriculum, ensuring achievement and success is predicted.

Actively be involved in the reviewing and developing internal assessment process and procedures, including tutorial/target setting, through the interval moderation process.

Relevant and successful teaching experience of PSD, Independent Living and Functional Skills with Foundation Learning Students.

All candidates for teaching posts within Foundation Learning must possess a recognised teaching qualification, or be prepared to gain (with the assistance of the College) a qualification within the first 2 years of service.

Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies in relation to students with complex barriers to learning including emotional and behavioural difficulties and/or SEND., Disability Confident
