Full Job Description

Coleg Cambria is seeking a passionate and skilled Lecturer in Hair to join our dedicated team at the Yale site. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching up to Level 3 in our Hairdressing and Barbering, including the preparation of learning materials, marking of students' work, and maintaining strong links with awarding bodies. As a lecturer, you will provide essential educational guidance and support to students, acting as a personal tutor when necessary, and contributing to their overall academic and professional development.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the recruitment and interviewing of prospective students, as well as in the planning, marketing, and evaluation of our course offerings. Collaboration with tutors from other business areas, student sponsors, and employers will be key to ensuring a well-rounded educational experience. You will also be responsible for adhering to and implementing quality systems, monitoring and evaluating learning sessions, and participating in the College's self-assessment procedures, external inspections, and verification activities.

In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will be required to manage various administrative tasks, including the completion of essential documentation such as registers, schemes of work, and student reports. This role may also involve participating in the planning and organisation of special events related to the Business Area.   • A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.

  • Educated to a minimum Level 3 qualification

  • Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments


  • Welsh language skills are essential for this position.

    Salary: £30,620 - £47,331 (Pro rata) Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine, Excellent Pension Scheme(s)
