Full Job Description
Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West of England and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Lecturer in Home Cookery at HMP Portland.
This role is full-time, working 37 hours per week.
We are pleased to now be able to offer a 'Golden Hello' payment of up to £4,000 for any successful candidate for this position.
Day to day duties of the role
-Organisational and administrative work.
-Preparation, assessment and marking.
-Developing and maintaining a full course file including comprehensive scheme of learning and lesson planning.
-Developing and completing ILPs and contextual statements to monitor individual learner progress.
All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, or be prepared to gain within the first two years of service, with the assistance of the College.
-Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies.
-Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skill.
-Excellent computer literacy skills including an up to date knowledge of Microsoft Office., Disability Confident
