Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an Hourly Paid Lecturer in Journalism to carry out specific teaching and assessment on a key Sports Journalism module "Sport Reporting" for Year One Sports Journalism students. This module aims to develop and foster skills for sports reporters; both technical and written. This is a fixed term position for Semester 2 only to cover long term absence.

With 60 years' experience teaching journalism, the University of Central Lancashire has a fantastic reputation within the industry. Our Journalism programmes have a strong reputation with excellent student satisfaction, 9th in the latest Guardian League tables and our BA (Hons) Sports Journalism course is accredited by the BJTC.
The successful applicant must have recent or current experience working in a Journalism environment and a degree in a relevant subject. The delivery of practical Journalism skills is essential. You must be student-focused and have Higher Education delivery experience in addition to current industry connections.
