Full Job Description

Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West of England and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Lecturer in Music - HMP The Verne.

This is a part-time role, working 14.8 hours per week.

Day to day of the role

-To deliver a high-quality curriculum delivering Music courses.
-Developing and maintaining a full course file including comprehensive scheme of learning and lesson planning.
-Manage learner behaviour and challenge negative behaviour appropriately, following prison processes.
-Enriching learning through additional projects and broader activity beyond the qualification delivery.

Relevant qualification in Music.
-Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills.
-Teaching qualification, or willingness to gain this whilst in post., Disability Confident
