Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Music Theatre, with specialism in Singing, Choir leading and Acting. BA (hons) Music Theatre programme is based in the purpose-built Media Factory at the University of Central Lancashire, with access to excellent and technically advanced black box theatre spaces, as well as our creatively conceived theatre space in St Peter's Art Centre. The role holder will be expected to contribute to the academic development, course management, teaching, research development, and scholarship within the School in the area of Arts and Media., For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Dr Theresa Saxon via email in the first instance.

We are seeking a positive individual who has a passion for Music Theatre, an excellent understanding of diverse learning styles and how to support learners with the HE sector. You should bring a flexible approach to learning and teaching, a passion for the subject, and a willingness to work effectively and constructively with colleagues and students. The successful candidates for this post must be student-focused and have Higher Education delivery experience and/or relevant industry experience. Candidates must possess good piano skills and sight-reading ability to support teaching. Candidates should also have experience in teaching Acting through Song within a musical theatre context.
